Im planning on repairing the bottom section of the steel frame on the back of the 110.
Ive got the repair channel sections which are bare metal.
I plan on doing this.
Hack out the old bottom section and remove 1" of the upright section so i have decent metal to weld to.
I will cut and mitre the bottom section and then cut and mitre the upright section. I then plan on tack welding the sections together so i can get them correct. Leaving only the new to the old bits to weld in situ.
Once welded together I intend on degreasing the metail and then painting it maybe with some glav spray first ?
With it being bare metal Im guessing i will need a etch primer, then 2 coats of primer, and a few top coats followed by some clear waxoly.
Any tips on doing this? Im using a Clarke 100EN with CO2 and 0.6mm wire.
