don't forget the plank that uses the old onesIf those bracing pieces are fastened to the floor it shouldn't be too bad. The ones I'm familiar with are just a single plank wide.
travellers - upvc fitters just use 2 ladders now and boxloads of double sided tape and siliconeThere was a stage 15-20 years ago when it was all the rage to pay companies to come and put UPVC cladding over every square inch of the rotten timber on your house - fascias, soffits, weatherboard cladding etc - they all used them and they looked dodgy even by H&S standards back then.
It will have all dropped off long ago i reckon.
