One for those of you that dabbble in knife making
I’m making a simple Japanese style Kiridashi that’s ground on one side only. It’s being made from an old file.
I’ve annealed the file and have roughed out the shape and polished up the edges.
Should I harden and temper before grinding the cutting edge or should I rough out the edge, make the profile and then harden temper etc before finishing off?
This is what I’m aiming for
