Hi,
I've recently bought a Kemppi MasterTig MLS 2300 AC/DC TIG welder. It's a great machine and not too expensive for what it does - until you start looking at some of the accessories!
I hoped to get away with a torch remote rather than a foot pedal (mainly to save money, as you'll see) but it really doesn't do the job. What's more, it cost about US$100 for the torch remote just which turned out to be nothing more that simple circuit board with nothing more than 3 micro-switches on it that came in a small plastic bag and simply screws onto the torch. Getting charged $100 bucks for that kinda makes me mad
So I looked into getting a foot pedal and it turns out you've got to get the Kemppi one (only the R11F will do) because it has more to it than just a pot to control the amperage. Needless to say Kemppi won't provide any details whatsoever as to what electronics are involved. They simply insist you buy one - which in Australia comes in at a cool US$600 - yep that's right US$600 for a foot pedal
So, I was hoping that someone on the forum might have access to the schematics for a Kemppi R11F footpedal or might have the actual pedal and may be able to open it up and tell me what's inside.
Any help that I can get would be very much appreciated
