Hi,
I have created several large (31", 28" & 25") metal rings out of 5mm square steel rod.
I am now needing to join the ends together and am looking for some advice on how to do this.
Is it best to you use the same technique demonstrated in the YouTube video below (0:49) where both ends are clamped in a vice with a little gap between the ends, and then welded?
I am a basic MIG welder using a Clarke MIG151EN Turbo No Gas/Gas MIG Welder so any advice on the settings I should use would be most appreciated as well.
Thanks in advance,
Stophen.
