I possibly wil be in need of a joggler to edge set bits and bobs of fettled metal for for the sill/wheel arch area on my Rover P6 project. I have had a look and the Sealey Jogglers (the 2 models i can find) both have say they will bend 18 - 20 gauge metal (1.2 - 0.9mm) This seems a tad wimpy, I had expected it to go to gauge 16 (1.6mm) The Sealey joggler only is £57 in p&p on ebay the joggler/6mm Hole punch is £62 (from ebay, the Sealey site has them even more expensive!)
Sealey - Joggler only
sealey - joggler/hole punch
The Machine mart model £33 does not seem to say what its specs are, though is a lot cheaper, it may work out fine for just the one project. (famous last words of a skinflint )
machine mart joggler
Then i find another on ebay for setting round cirves, but this one is 1mm maximum (just over 20 gauge )
ebay - for round curves
The welding with flanged seams seems () to be a good idea, certainly better than facing up two 18 gauge bits of metal together.
So i propose to get the cheapo one on monday, that is unless anyone can give me a good reason not to waste my money. Or knows of a cheaper/better option. Or maybe even someone with an over supply/ under use, in the joggler area will sell me one cheap
I have already bought a panel beating kit with the requsite shrinking /edging /peening hammers and different billets etc. Hopefully i am now equiped to go. But i am bound to have forgot something. any suggestions ?
