Hi all,
hope I'm posting this in the right place, wasn't sure which section to go for!
it's actually 2 questions.
First one:
I quite fancy getting one of those jig tables so I can clamp what I'm welding, would be to sit on top of my existing work bench, to also serve the purpose of raising the height of what I'm welding.
But.. don't know where to get them from?
Something like 20"x20" would do me nicely... I reckon all I would need is a thick plate, maybe 6mm thick?, with 16mm holes every 50mm (I think that's the standard spacing)
would anyone know where I could get one? I'm in Newbury, West Berkshire...
Second one:
Oxy kits... So I asked my local gas supplier from who I rent my TIG gas, and to get the oxykit is like £600...as I have to buy the bottles.... way too expensive!
is there an alternative to oxy? I have a little gas forge but for small stuff sometimes is just not right for the job... and the propane torch just takes ages to heat anything up....
thanks!
JP
