Hello,
I am looking to buy my first welder, planning on welding mostly steel but also zinc alloy steel and hopefully aluminium. I plan to use it at home, not professionally. I think the ease of use is very important for me as i have 0 experience and i don't want to spend my time turning the knobs too much. That's why i am looking into synergic mig welder, as if i understood correctly its the easiest to use, with as little knob turning as possible. Also it should be a single phase machine preferably.
my budget is around 1000e.
my top pick at the moment after some research is https://www.ipotools.de/product/ipotools-powermig-210s-synergic-inverter-schweissgeraet/
but i have many reservations:
- minimum current is 30A, is that too high, would it be better to look something with lower min current if i am looking to weld sheet metal ?
- synergic materials: if i understand correctly for synergic will only work if i am welding with a wire type support a material that is supported.Looking at the screenshots it seems machine supports 3 types of wire ? (Fe, Al, SS)
- the description online is very vague .... does it support things like hot start, force arc, anti stick, post flow, burn back, vrd ? (to be honest i can't say i fully understand what all those do, but it seems today most welders have all those functions ? and they are mostly about ease of use ?)
- wire: it supports 0.8 to 1.0 mm wire ... is that enough ? and i am guessing feeding aluminium wire won't work as it seems the feeder is designed for steel wires ?
the second machine i am looking at is WTL powermig 200 https://wtl-schweisstechnik.at/power-mig-200-lcd-mig-mag-mma-wig-synergic-schweissinverter.html
but there is even less info available, so i am having doubts if this is even a brand or just some chinese machine imported ? its missing even the basic info like minimum current etc.
what i am wondering, is it a good idea to look for combination of MIG and TIG ? or will that be a machine that can't do neither well ?
third option is spartus easymig 210e : http://www.en.spartus.info/pdf/pobierz.php?id=easymig210E_eng
this seems like another machine imported from china, but at least the price is more reasonable. It seems to be able to do too much however, looking at the panel i don't see where i could turn synergic on and choose materials so i doubt it really does what it says ?
also if you know of any other welder i should be looking into please do let me know, i will most appreciate it.
