Can be mains or longlife/sealed battery, as long as you can't easily disable them.Do we need mains or battery or both or can we choose?
Not looked into it. No roundtuit at the moment
Either;I have used EI elecronics https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Main_Index/Fire_and_Smoke/Smoke_Alarms_Radiolink/index.html
Not battery though..mains
wire it in permanently and you wont have the transmitter backplate to look at and trebble the priceGiven the new rules in Scotland that you have to have one in your main living room, there has got to be a market opportunity to bring one out that is unobtrusive instead of the crap looking ones on the market today.
Anyone seen a 10 year battery/wireless interconnect alarm that looks good and you would be happy with in your main living space?
I don't find them that offensive, I've got aico ones in every room, they sit there and don't really notice them, add to that the fact they could save your life and there's no issue for me.Given the new rules in Scotland that you have to have one in your main living room, there has got to be a market opportunity to bring one out that is unobtrusive instead of the crap looking ones on the market today.

I don't want to have to lift the carpets and floorboards upstairs to install wiring or put in conduits.wire it in permanently and you wont have the transmitter backplate to look at and trebble the price
it should not be a problem the plugs they use normaly on the smoke alarms make it hard to touch the live wires when removingMake sure they have rechargeable batteries in them.
Mains powered with normal batteries drives me mad in my house. And it's dodgy changing the batteries when you have live wires nearby.
