Looking to replace a couple of roofs in the not too distant future, small enough to do it “ourselves” or rather myself!
Existing roof on one is currently uninsulated panels, with a glue going through in one place which shouldn’t be an issue. The other roof is currently under debate, it could be asbestos sheets or hopefully cement sheets.
Question I can’t currently find an answer to online is, how the eaves are finished so that we can reinstate the guttering once complete? The sheet will overhang by 100-150mm so the rainwater is at least guided away from the walls, but we store the water from most of the buildings for livestock and the allotment.
Also thinking, do I need to install boarding under these, effectively for the sheets to sit on?
I may also end up using this roofing systems for the workshop down at the bungalow, rather than installing roofing boards, insulation, covering with another board and then finally felting the roof.
Ideally I’d have done the roofing last week when the weather was being kind to us around here.
Can anyone assist?
