I picked this up on FB Marketplace for a song last year. It had been advertised over s period of months for £40 and then I happened to see that it was down to £20, and local. Too good an opportunity to miss.
As you can see, it's 3-phase hence why no-one was interested.
The first job was to drain off the receiver. That was interesting
Nothing coming out, but I know there's gunge in there.
Remove the drain cock and have a poke around with a bit of clothes hanger.
Very slow work this.
Eventually after about an hour this is what I drained from it
It's a good job that the receiver is a substantial piece of hardware. Built January 1969 and not drained for many years, by the looks of it. It came from a garage that was renewing their kit, and had been rescued from the scrappy by the brother of one of the mechanics because he thought it was too good to through out.
And that was it until CV19 struck. Watch this space for more exciting updates
