I'm doing a job that involves making some tight bends with copper flat bar. I don't have tooling small enough to do this with the brake so I came up with a die block set that works with our 75 ton bearing press. I had to fab tooling for two different offsets, the tooling I am posting pics of has an offset of 15/16", while the other copper strips pictured are ony offset a 1/4". I factored in the shrinkage and what not so all I need to do is place a precut piece into the die, squeeze it to shape and it fits perfect.... no trimming, no fussing.
Here is a pic of the parts in place..... all the copper joints are brazed, and the bronze block to the copper flat bar joint is sliver brazed....
