Got an Invitation to apply for my State Pension today.....that must make me offically old....My eldest questioned whether I was taking it........Of course Im taking it, its mine, Ive paid in for 40 years and many of those years were at the maximum limit....I dont think of it as Benefits...

No idea how much it is but I know the taxman will take 20% of it (or whatever the tax rate is these days)

Should have just enough to eat, sleep and lick the windows on the inside of the special bus then . Got a letter from the council saying that I am entitled to trips in the special bus, don’t think they would appreciate the tools and the dawgs .

Don’t forget your bus pass Al, very useful. We use it all the time while we are away in the camper van.

You're still allowed personal tax allowances. Get free prescriptions too.

Welsh bus passes don't work in England.

    Grrr!

(But we've had free prescriptions ever since those 3 extra voters in Carmarthen voted for the Wives And Girlfriends)

Send off a canine sample with a covering letter explaining you have been feeling a bit ruff :)

Can anyone actually survive on a standard state pension and have enough spare to do other things :dontknow:
