Yesterday I fitted some new headlights to my trike, to replace the stylish but useless headlight it came with. The new ones are the famous Bates 4” models, quite neat little units.
The old one:
As I was wiring the new ones up I noticed the colours were nearly the same as the loom on the trike, but in different locations. I nearly finished the job yesterday, but left the final hookup until today and guzzled a bottle of wine while watching Rust Valley Restorers on Netflix.
Well, you can guess what happened this morning.
It escaped.
A couple of hours pulling wires apart, replacing them, and finally fitting a fuse between battery and relays...
I don’t particularly like them up that high, now they’re working, so I’ll move them down to the bottom yoke to fill the big gap in front the steering head.
