Hydraulic press for a tenner

I needed to repair some tine arms on a tedder so made this very basic press from the scrap bin,seems to work ok.Only had to buy 1metre 24 mm.threaded rod £7 and 8 nuts £3. Used an old 8 tonne jack.Not very elegant but cheaper than a £100 chinese one.Any one got a better idea? Andi

Slap some paint on it and it'll look like a £100 worth.

Nice one, simple, elegant and cheap. Paint? the devils own substance, that would double the cost. I have used a smilar device as a cider press.
