Hi all,
I need to repair the top of the chassis leg of my Mk2 Golf and need some advice (new to welding).
What would be the best way to tackle this?
I can't find a repair panel anywhere, but I may be able to get a body cut.
I thought I could cut straight down and replace with fresh steel, but that'd make it difficult to grind the weld flat?
Ideally I'd drill the spot welds from each side of the panel and drop a new one in but I don't really know where to start with making one up...
I am a beginner so all input appreciated!
Thanks,
Andrew
