Just in the process of fitting a couple of patches in the rear wheel arches of my ongoing post vintage car project.
The patches have been mig butt welded into position & the welds ground flat with a flap wheel.
However I always seem to end up with a few pinholes along the line of the weld which I have to reweld/regrind to seal up the holes. Being car bodywork I pulse the mig to avoid blowing big holes in the wheel arch/patch.
Anybody got any good techniques to avoid these minor imperfections & avoid the rework?
