I am at the moment trying to clean up the underside of my car. Subframe off, clear rusty bits, epoxy primer etc..
Have found a 60mm hole knew it was there but avoided it until now. Have no idea what caused it but it happened in the same location on the other side of the car a couple of years ago. Found out at MOT time. Took it to local garage and it was repaired £300.
Car is now immobile and there isn't any mobile guys I can find to come do it.
Question is how hard and approx how much to buy dirt cheap welding gear and have a bash myself. I am a plumber so know a little about metal though not steel.
Or is it possible to try and repair it with some 3M panel adhesive and rivets or is this a big no no and I'm a dumass just for asking.
This one is hidden behind a plastic covering for the fuel pump so no ones gonna see it. And probably why it wasn't spotted before.
