Trying to get a bit organised I took a couple of GSX1100 V5s to the post office today to get the tax class changed to historic and MOT exemption. Both bikes are in boxes at the unit.
I downloaded the V112 form for each, filled in the reg numbers and signed them. Took the documents to the local post office that does vehicle tax where the bloke scanned the bar codes on the V5s. The computer accepted the bikes as eligible and he marked the section on the V5s and will now send them to the DVLA. He issued a receipt for each V5 and returned the V112s.
The whole job took about 5 minutes, so I thought I'd post on here in case anyone was thinking it might be a pain in the **** to do.
The other two are '81 reg so they'll need to wait until next year to get done.
