High temp ,gloss Enamel WANTED...

    Can anyone recomend a temperature resistant gloss black finish suitable for a tractor exhaust , having had no joy.....

    Black chrome if you want gloss. Best exhaust paint I've used is barbecue paint , but more satin. Never seen a gloss black as you normally need a Matt finish to dissipate heat.

    You can get gloss high temp powder coats.

  6. Had this on my evo 6 exhaust manifold & it works really well, but mine was more of a matt finish. This was years ago though so more ranges may be available.

    Any stuff I’ve got that works has been from a proper automotive paint factor, not had much longterm success with “can” finish.

    Look at stove enamel the type that they use on woodburners.

    Very speedy, looked at getting my exhaust headers done by them
     
  10. Well worth doing as it stopped the heat being sucked back in by more larger air filer mounted in the engine bay & still looks good after many heat cycles.
