hi all the question is I've been using a parweld helmet a friend let me borrow it while I sort a helmet out for my self im not sure how old the helmet is does welding give you a head ache is the question
as long as it goes dark quickly you should be fine and even if it dosnt not the best subject here but you wont suffer arc eye or longish blind spots of bright light it does protect you from it

It shouldn't if you are wearing the appropriate protection; unless you have a pre-existing condition similar to in the way certain people get headaches from using computer monitors for long periods.
Make sure you're wearing the appropriate shade for the welding you're doing.
Edit: As noted above, outside of visual concerns you can also may suffer effects from poor ventilation, especially if welding on coated materials like galvanised steel.
