Move slowerI think im getting slightly better-using arc im using 6013 rods how do they look IView attachment 225430 ran 5 beads
Practice will improve your techniccheers for that mate ill remember in future
I've started using 2.5mm 6013 at 140AAs said, try and keep your speed of travel more consistent. When you've achieved a parallel bead, work on altering the speed of travel to get the ideal bead width for the rod being used. If you're using a head shield, you can always support the holder with your free hand which will help reduce any unwanted movement.
Amps are directly related to your electrode size and workpiece thicknessyeah mate im using 6013 2.5mm at 75amps perhaps i should up the amps mate its says 50 to 90 optimum setting 75amps on the cover of my machine mate

That happened when I was 14 first approaching with welding , was the only way to keep the arc goingPush the amps up to 90+, you'll see a beneficial difference.
@Memmeddu - 140 amps? Are you sure you're not gouging a 1/2" trough?
