Hi all, I'm Dave from Manchester. My main hobby is retro computers, however, I am a self-taught welder, having learned by necessity at the age of 19 using an SIP 140 arc welder. I have since learned MIG welding via my 90EN and I acquired the 150TE after I loaned out my 90EN to someone, who brought me the 150TE as payment for borrowing my 90EN.
I also appear to be a bit of a Clarke fan boy, having a 90EN, a 150TE Turbo and an AT150 as well as a Kilmak Fantom 165 and another arc welder, whose name escapes me at the moment.
My Clarke AT150 is poorly at the moment and I've joined as I was that a member was repairing a similar model some time back. The Kilmak (a Turkish brand I believe) is another non-runner that I was given but I know next to nothing about the brand.
I hope to start trying to find out what is wrong with these two inverter welders. I am fairly good at working to component level with discrete components as I repair retro computers as part of my hobby. This is the first time I will have started to do surgery on welding equipment, so I need all the help I can get.
Thanks for letting me in and you have a great forum here!
