Hey and help please!

Hi,
newbie here called James. Been learning to weld slowly for a little while, and currently restoring a classic mini. Browsed the forum a few times and its got so much useful information i dont know where to start!
Just about to leave college and go to uni in september to study motorsport engineering. Im doing my final assignment for college on welding, and im getting stuck, and dont have much time left on it. The last few area i need to write about are:-

-Structure of the welded joint
-alloys and phase diagrams
-heat treatments

-determine the weldability of common engineering materials

-types and causes of defects and ways of overcoming them

If anyone could help i would it would be much appreciated

finished it at 3.30am. job done! now all my work is done i can get on with some real welding on my project

Whats the Project james? I went to Collage and built a multi purpose trailer. (flat bed that had the capacity to carry boats!) Ho Welcome as well! Pete

Welding assignment was marked at said to be very good. So results there. Finished college today as well.
The project is a personal project, restoring and race preping style a classic mini.
