Hi All
I posted a while ago re. an AC arc welder my neighbour gave me (here). I've now bought a box from ebay to allow me to hopefully do some AC TIG welding (see auction details here). I wander if someone could help me out with a few questions please.
On the back of the box I see the gas input, 230v 3 pin plug and the 2 heavy cables I use to connect it to the AC welder.
First question, do I connect these to the Maximum Amps/Low volts connection and the welding earth or the High volts and welding earth?
On the front of the box there are plugs for the gas outlet, the electric cable that goes up to the control switch on the torch, the socket leading to the electrode on the torch, the power adjustment knob and a knob for controlling the gas flow.
More questions;
What is the 2t/4t switch for? and what is the MMA socket for?
I haven't asked the seller these questions yet, I thought I'd ask here first and see if you guys could help me out.
Thanks in advance
Andy
