Hi, first of all I apologise if this is in the wrong section. I couldn’t decide where was best to put it.
I'm after I bit of help if possible. I have a 1997 e36 BMW 325tds touring. Whilst I was changing my rear anti roll bar bushes I noticed that the cups inside where the arms mount to have corroded. The actual mounting area (three bolts each side) looks in pretty good condition. As a preventative measure I ordered two repair panels to repair each side fully. As it’s a structural repair, needs to be bob on for geometry I’m not keen on doing it myself. I am a novice when it comes to welding and saying that is pushing it plus, I don’t think my Clarke 130 is up to it.
I’m looking for recommendations for somebody who’d be up for doing a good job of these if you can help? I’m panicking because I’ve seen a video of one of these mounts giving up and it’s not pleasant at all and now I’ve got a little one I don’t know where to get it done.
I’m in the Bolton area greater Manchester. I can either bring the car to you or get it jacked up on axle stands in my yard as high as possible. I’ll attach some pictures of the areas and repair panels, hopefully that’ll make things clearer.
Any help appreciated. Thanks, Neil.
