HELP using a gravity gun

got some self etch paint in black (not that it makes any difference) well im painting and its coming out really slowly, guess the paint is too thick as it comes out like cotton wool, its everywhere, it does go onto the item im painting, and covers eventually, and then looks great, the guy i had it off said spray it on as is, but surely it needs thinning down ??? you can also really gob it on and it doesnt want to run, well what ya reckon??

If you want to spray thicker substances you may need a bigger nozzle set for the gun, otherwise see if you can thin it down without effecting the function.

Surely you WANT to effect the function, but maybe not affect it? ;-)
