Hi all,
New to this website, i've just handed me an old BOC Transarc Dc150 unit with the TIG attachment, must weight 150Kilos in copper, I've been searching for information in how to if possible convert the unit from a 3-phase 415V supply to a single phase 220V if possible, I've opened the top of the unit up and have 4 inputs U V W and Earth , down the side is a wiring boards that select the input voltage currently set at 415V, but can be 380V, 240V or 220V. on 4 boards which would change the voltage on the coils, their is also another board but i think thats is chokes and filters.
Their is no mention on the rear of the unit that it can accept 220V single phase what i can see or not reading it correctly, but does mention 220V be 25.2A max draw on TIG, Arc would be 21.8A,
Can this unit be converted to 220V single phase, as their is no marking for neutral on the input board i know that U is L1, V is L2 , W L3 , what would be neutral in this case V or W ? as 220V could still mean 3-phase 220V ie in the USA with 110V's
I could post some pictures made smaller to clarrify this if needed, I did check the Murex site but no success on the Transarc , but did on the SiteRover.
many thks
James
