Help identify insert?

    Hi. Somewhere along the road I have acquired this tool holder and the inserts work well on my lathe but I only have the 1.

    No identification on holder. Anyone help?

    Looks to be a non standard insert and actually looks like it is meant for threading, might even just be HSS.

    Is it carbide, or HSS? Any chance it is just a one off? That sort of thing would normally be double ended, I think.

    Is is carbide (camera flash!) and I am surprised its not double ended.

    No way would that set screw at the back work with a reversible insert.

    Any top notch inserts I have seen are double ended, a lot deeper and have a notch in the top/bottom, that doesn't seem to be like any I have seen.
