Hi guys, I have been checking out the site regularly for the last few months, in fact bought my Clarke 135TE on the back of the recommendations here. I have also taught myself to weld (after a fashion) thanks to the tips and tutorials on here, so I thought it was time to join and see if anyone can help with my trailer problem..........
I bought (cheap) a twin axle trailer, quite sturdy and will scrub up ok, but there are no connected brakes. The drums have a cable (severed) entering at the bottom, and the connector and bleed nipple for hydraulics at the top. The slaves inside the hubs seem ok. What I don't know is what I need to use the hydraulic brakes - the hitch is a Bradley with a cantelever handbrake and spring loaded bar that pushes the handbrake lever when the trailer moves forward under braking. Is there an add on hydraulic servo or do I need to replace the hitch and pay a fortune for an "all in one"?
Thanks in anticipation.
