I'm really glad ive found this site , its looks great.
I'm a litle bit lost with my MIG and need a bit of advice please.
I'm just starting to get the hang of the wierd 3 button power settings and adjustable wire speed dial and have produced some good steel welds.
I just get blobs of white dusted weld when i try with aluminium and Argon and no penetration.
Should i have
high power and fast wire ?
low power and and fast wire ?
medium power and medium wire ?
How far away should the end of the torch be from the aluminium?.
I'm going to de bug my welder with you recommendations for aluminium as it does snag and im wasting metres of wire when it snaps by the feed wheel.
Can this wire be reused as it seems such a waste?.
By the way , i thought my Cosmo 130 was missing bits and wasnt supplied with anything to get me started , untill i found the removable panel on the side - ha ha and it was all inside.
Please can i have you advice regarding this .
Thankyou
