Hi, all!
OK, so this is my second post. My first was to dive straight into the Learning MIG Welding to scrounge some help. Hardly sporting behaviour for a newcomer...
I've been lurking for a few months, after an MOT advisory for the rear cross member on my Land Rover last year. I read loads, watched as many YouTube videos as I could handle, pushed my budget, then pushed it some more. Today, I took delivery of an R-Tech Mig180.
I've never MIG welded before. I've done a little Arc welding in the past, but would hardly say I was proficient (or even competent). However, there's jobs to be done and it's time to get off my backside and get learning. I love learning new stuff. My wife reckons that I'm an expert on anything after an hour's Googling. However, I'm an office boy, so this stuff really doesn't come naturally.
If anyone's in Shropshire and fancies standing idly by whilst I show them how to destroy a new welder, feel free to say hello. :-)
Cheers for now,
Steve
