There are a lot of cool people on the forum who I'd like to get to know, but everyone just seems to talk about welding. The idea of the introductions forum is to help prople get to know one another. Let's build a community.
I'll start. I'm Malcolm and I'm an Acoustics Engineer....
Actually I'm not really an engineer any more, although I still do a little contract work. I gave it up as a full time job a couple of years ago partly because it seemed to consume 45 hours of my week, but mostly because the company I worked for did the redundancy thing. I'm now a web designer (hence the mig welding website).
I've been rebuilding cars since I was 16. I started out with a Triumph Spitfire, but I bought my first welder to restore an MGA (which I still have). I've since restored... sorry, replaced... an MGB, and now tend to work on other people's cars to fill the time between making websites.
That's me. Introduce yourself.
