I have just posted some questions about water jet cutting and thought I would introduce myself. I used to access the forum in the past and have to admit having no memory of my user name or password probably stored away on some long dead laptop.
I remember how well run this forum is and there is always lots of interesting post and wanted to come back as not posted in few years as my interests keep changing.
When I was last on the forum I was restoring a 1969 MGB and I did complete this project using a Portamig that I bought from someone on the Forum. The Portamig is still going strong, but I am embarrassed to say its still on the first reel of wire that came with it. I also now have a Kempi Tig welder but again it only gets switched on about once year. So I can just about metal glue stuff together but its not pretty.
I work in electronics and software and have been interested in all areas of electrical and mechanical engineering since a young age. I am not really any good at anything, but have very varied interests a jack of all trades master of none. I am based near sheffield in the UK.
I also enjoy make rubbish youtube videos mainly electronics and software related but I just film whatever is on my bench so that sometimes includes mechanical stuff.
My best wishes to you all. Regards Chris AKA AllTheGearNoIdea
