I’m not short on space, the motor is outside the machine mounted on the back. I just want the foot mounting to be the same or close ideally saves messing around making new mounts. The number is radius, so 90 = 180mm diameter motor. S is the short case version. 90S will limit you to a fast spinning low torque motor of a similar power.
The TEC site has pdf drawings hidden away at the bottom

I’m reading that you can’t use an IE2 motor without a VFD, legally that is.
Struggling to find an IE3.
I’d quite like to put a decent quality motor on there. Another Brook Crompton would be great, but I think I’m looking at a W series. Might be pricey.

Do new motors come with different spindle sizes?
Any motor brands to look for? I’ll be running it on three phase mains supply.

hold fire on that mate I may just get a new motor that will be suitable for VFDAre you interested before i dig it out mate...done a bit of digging for lads here and they always get fixed up elsewhere and leave me in a lather of sweat and the necessity to put it back which is more digging

Personally i would just run straight from your 3 phase and not bother with vfd as the gear range is pretty good, cant see any benefit.
