I have the option of a Clarke 205te to replace my 135te, which runs fine from a domestic plug socket.
The 205te says it’s 30a / 230v and should be hard wired. Will I not get away with plugging that in and running well below max current 185a, or will it trip even at lower amps.
I don’t want to buy it and it refuse to work, even at the same amps as the 135te.
I’m hoping to upgrade the electrics soon, but 30a is electric cooker power, so does it have to be wired in just like a cooker ?
