Gys tig temp

    Hi guys,looking for some info on gys tig 168 hf.the temperature light comes on and the welder stops working for approximately 10min anyone had this problem thanks

    That’s what’s supposed to happen, it’s a thermal cutout which activates when it gets to a certain temperature.
    If it’s doing it regularly then you may be using the machine beyond its design capabilities.

    What sort of amps are you talking, and usage?

    It's got a pretty decent duty cycle so unless you're trying to max it out and sit there running filler rod after rod, it shouldn't be a problem.

    Have you taken the covers off to blow the dust out?

    Hi yes I have cleaned it and hovered it usage is 50-90 amps had welder for 4 years not missed a beat till now
