I found this page listing recent product recalls, quite interesting. Some of the reasoning is sensible while others a joke and appears highly variable. A lot of the comments say "Rejected at border and destroyed", I take that to mean, whole container loads of products.

In the "Machinery" section theres a lot of cordless tools, many of the issues appear to be due to the charger - no fuse etc.. or euro plugs being compared to the british standard. No excuse for hot having a proper fuse.
I may have to open up one of my Fakita chargers to check it.
Some however are laughable, "wires soldered directly to the pcb or component tags" Yes that is generally how connections are made, and perfectly acceptable. If they meant wires should be secured from vibration, thats a very different issue.
A mini pruning chainsaw -
"The product presents a high risk of injuries as the blade cover is not properly secured. The cover could become detached during handling and transportation of the product, causing the user to be exposed to the blade."
Well perhaps my Echo 2511 should be recalled as that bar cover never stays in place when Im walking to car!
Mini pruner, it appears they want a secondary handle.

The Stihl and Makita versions dont have a secondary but product pictures show users with hand over the motor. You can do that with these imports.. Einhell dont have any extra handle on theirs.
Some of the items listed, I have seen disapear from Amazon and now I know why...
