I said if its in between the floor and the ceiling nowhere else . so how can it get kicked and damaged I think u need to explain properly that the cables are above the floor and not underneath it where it cant get damaged . if cables are over 4 foot high they don't need to be covered anything below requires mechanical protection if it was anywhere the cables are likely to be damaged eg in a garage or industrial its prudent to cover them im well aware of the regulations on cable types and routs
The confusion comes in because I didn’t want to quote you in #18. If you read #18 as it is,not as a reply or a quote,it makes sense. Look at the photo in #19 you will see what I mean. The original wiring is now at foot level on the mezzanine floor. That’s what I am talking about. Not the new wiring for downstairs that will be between the purlins. I want to keep it split as there is no point having the lights on upstairs unless you are physically up there.
