Hi everyone I'm little bit confused about what those values means
I think that:
-Primary reduction means
engine rpm at the input shaft to the output one of the gearbox in 6th gear
-Final reduction means
engine rpm at the input shaft of the gearbox to the wheel .
I think so because according with math , Honda CBR's top speed is 300km/h and the rear tire is a 190/50 R17 which should translate in 606.5mm diameter
According with my calculations if I use 185/60R14 wheels those have to spin at 1750 wheel RPM to reach a top speed of 170km/h
Which hypothesising to use a 4 to 1 diff means that the drive shaft has to spin at roughly 7000 rpm (very roughly some hundred rpm less)
Which means practically direct drive
It's all about the rally car project
Thanks in advance
