Have a Sealey Mightymig 170
Only used it for flux-cored, gasless
Now getting it set up for Gas welding(change polarity etc) now i find that as soon as i turn the machine on gas comes through the nozzle. checked power supply to gas valve an it is powered as soon as i switch the machine on, no response from pressing the trigger.
Wire feed responds as normal to the trigger.
UPDATE: NO gas coming through. valve gets 230 V as soon as machine switched on and valvebody gets warm
WHERE do I start to look for the cause??
Many thanks
John
