gas presure

hi to all what sort of gas presure do i need to use. my regulator is one of the small ones for the dispoable bottles but it only seems to work on no 6 any advise guys thanks ian oh and do you need to vary the gas presure when welding difrent thickness material or diffrent output settings etc

The Clarke canister regulators are not great and you will find the 1-6 on the dial really means nothing, just crank it up to 6.

Oh & its not measured in presure its measured in flow rates LPM (Litres per Min)

Weldequip was being too polite, what he should have said was the Clarke ones are Friggin Sh**e. Mine works OK on 3-4 on co2 but wouldn't work on the Argon bottles. I know I've moaned about this before but it was too good a chance too miss!!!
