Had a problem with 'Francis' not welding correctly, basically, press the trigger on the pull gun and it would start to weld then just stop. Basically just a tack, press the trigger again, same result or nothing. Assumed it was the trigger so got two new ones. Now Francis has only put about three rolls of wire through in her life, so this was a supprise. After the new trigger was fitted, she seemed to operate OK, However two days ago, welding up some alli angle the problem occured again, this time I noticed on the screen an error message
Now I inquired with the original supplier of Francis and he told me that it could be the pull gun. I noticed that when left unattended the display on the pull gun goes out (blanks out) not noticed this before. I also assumed that there may be a loose wire in the gun, so pulled it apart and found this
and a closer up look
There seems to nothing missing in the gun but where this came out of is a puzzle. Now the gun has gone back to the original supplier to get sent to the importers for a 'look see'. Let's see if they are cruel to me considering how little Francis has done. This is something that I didn't expect due to the 'Name' Fronius has and the so called reliability they are supposed to have
