Oldest son, sold his project 306. Bought a mot’d and running Connect. Needed a few cosmetic things, drivers door straightened, drivers wing straightened. Anyhow he found a connect going for scrap, drivers door and wing in perfect condition, same colour too. It arrived at ours on a trailer

Today father and son have stripped all the bits he wanted and more to have as spares. Normally it would have sat for a while before we got to it. With the lock down we had time to get it done ASAP.

Don't worry about quoting in dollars, it's not the BBC news, (or wheeler dealers), on here

Fair point ... no offence intended to our US or Canadian friends, or any other countries using $$$$

The ford mag years ago if they featured a yank car if they said it cost $50,000 dollars would put it in sterling as 12 pence always tickled me

I loved my old connect, I wish I still had it but yet another Land Rover made me sell it

I actually quite like it myself. Cargo area seems huge compared to other wee vans.
Everything we took of the donor van came off very easily.

No, think we’ll both be off a while. Bound to get a half decent day at some point

Got the wing and door on today. Needs a bit of fettling to get the shut lines right. One issue is we can’t get the barrel out the lock. Watched the YouTube vids, still can’t get it to budge. Only one key so don’t want to break it!

My 03 connect was one of the most reliable cars/ vans I have owned.
Even put 400kg of steel on roof rack for short distance. Always heard the tddi was rubbish but mine was great. Low down grunt. Only fly in oil was the mpg. Just about got 40mpg.
Rust killed mine but only lost £500 after 3 years of hard work.

This one is 06 plate, underneath has been well looked after. Drivers sill has got a patch on it, it’s getting taken off and redone. That’s as much as we can find. Dare say more will appear but at £150 he can’t complain
