Looking for a ford 2713e/2725e or similar engine to fit in a fordson super major, if anybody has one or knows someone who has one that would be very much appreciated, must be in good condition, preferably out of a combine with upright sump, they also had them in cargos but they tend to be more clapped out!

    kind regards,
    Kevan.

A gem of a 6 pot in an old cargo, very low miles. Its being cut up in the next week or two.

Would it be possible that you could take pictures/video of it running before the engine is removed, the engine is at an angle so there’s a lot more work involved and the governors not suitable for pto work but a lot of lads put them in tractors for pulling!

  10. Just in case you are not aware, but the blocks of many of the six pot industrial engines are not structurally strong enough to support the front end of a tractor without the addition of fairly substantial side rails.

    Hi Wristpin,
Yes aware of this, some guys just extend side rails but I shall make new side rails that go from as far back as possible to the front, also standard fordson clutches are not strong enough from what I am led to believe!
