Hi,
First post on here although I've been looking in on the forum for about 5 years.
I've been lent a Clarke 90EN gasless welder for a small job to patch rusted part in a motorbike exhaust. The welder has come with what looks like flux cored wire, there's also a reel of plain wire & a small bottle of CO2 but no regulator. The job I have in mind is just a few small spots to hold a patch in place so I'm hoping that the flux cored wire will not blow holes.
Any thoughts on how thin you can go with flux cored on DIY welders? I remember from 40 years ago that industrial strength flux cored was for really heavy duty work but maybe I'm out of touch so would appreciate some up to date views.
Thanks
