I am finally making progress in my front room restoration.
A while ago I relaid about half the parquet flooring. A hideous job, wont be doing that again.
now it is ready for sanding as painting is all done at last.
I have looked at hiring a floor sander.
Is it blitz the floor first with a coarse grit; 24 was what the guy in the shop suggested. Then fill in any obvious gaps and finish off with 100? this sounds coarse to me; but I am used to finishing off with 24o grit on fancy tables.
As we can see in the photo the floor is not exactly flat, I can live with a wonky floor in a wonky house. It is a lot less wonky after lifting half of it up and levelling the floor.
