On scraps of 3.5mm mild steel, using my new R-Tech MIG 180 the first welds on the right were scrappy, managed to get slightly better in the middle welds, though the top middle one was after I'd tweaked the power and speed - and made things worse! I also forgot to trim the wire before striking the arc.
The welds on the left I'm reasonably pleased with, though obviously I need to work on making them straight. Good penetration.
Along the top is a series of welds to another piece of steel at right angles. Bashing the welded on piece with a hammer just bent it a bit, so the weld held.
