Been looking for a small lathe (and small mill) for ages to start doing some machining. Nothing flash but I do a bit of classic car restoration and engine rebuilds and sometimes it would be real nice to be able to make a part rather than buy/improvise/scrounge/bodge - not really never bodge
Anyways, as always budget and location is an issue but been keeping an eye out and finally found one close to me.
So hopefully at the weekend I will be going to pick up a ML10, small and no gap bed etc but i reckon will be ideal as a starter lathe.
So, what do I need to know, read, do, practice etc apart from DONT LEAVE THE CHUCK KEY IN THE CHUCK - already got that one
Cheers,
MM
