Hello everbody, I recently bought a thermal arc fabricator 360e with a VF2e wirefeed. I knew it was faulty but it was cheap and it worked when I viewed it, if a bit spattery. I got it home and have cleaned out the two potentiometers on the wire feed unit as the readings from them were crap, so thought that might cure it. It didn't cure it, but it was a bit better.
It sometimes doesn't respond to adjusting the wire speed. Sometimes it starts off at one speed and then speeds up slightly. I'm not familiar with setting the current and voltage, but when I try to the figures on the display seem to a) not change in responce to the adjustment on the pots, but after I've pulled the trigger. b) they seem to drift about rather than give me positive readings.
If anyone has any circuit diagrams for the boards in these, or can point me at common faults I would appreciate it.
I've put it in this section as I have read here that "TArc" just rebadged a Kempi machine.
